The Schlagerfestival will be holding its very first summer edition on Saturday 17 July 2021 in the Proximus Pop-Up Arena in Middelkerke. The team that takes care of the programming and organisation of the one and only Schlagerfestival in Ethias Arena Hasselt every year is working hard to prepare the very first summer edition. With artists such as Willy Sommers, Bart Kaëll, De Romeo’s and Gene Thomas, it promises to become a brilliant summer evening.
“We are very driven, after months without live music, to get the best out of it for the fans and artists of Dutch-language songs, say the organisers. “Middelkerke is a fantastic location for our first ever festival outing and our partner Dag Allemaal is also extremely keen to make it a top event.
Regular presenter on duty Kürt Rogiers and the artists are also really looking forward to this first summer edition of the Schlagerfestival. “It’s going to be good to be able to perform again after so many months, to see fans and colleagues again. I can’t wait to be on the Schlagerfestival stage at the coastside in July,” says an enthusiastic Bart Kaëll.
The summer show of the Schlagerfestival will take place in the Proximus Pop-Up Arena in Middelkerke. This innovative, temporary marquee construction is an initiative of the Sportpaleis Group – market leader in the field of event management in Belgium – and will receive full cooperation from the municipality of Middelkerke and partner Proximus.
“As it looks now, it will be particularly busy from summer onwards with a large number of relocated and new concerts and events on the agenda. With this pop-up arena we can facilitate this larger offer,” says Jan Van Esbroeck, CEO of Sportpaleis Group. The Proximus Pop-Up Arena will be hosting a wide variety of events and concerts in Middelkerke (Vrijetijdspark, Westendelaan) from mid-June to the end of August.
The Schlagerfestival is organised by PSE Belgium in collaboration with DPG Media.
